A Little Bit Of My Story
My Name is Katie Haviland
Photographer first, starting 30 some years ago when asked if I would document a turn of the century mansion that a group was trying to save for historic preservation. I never looked back. BA in Photography and an MA in Interdisciplinary Arts, both from Columbia College, Chicago.
The three plus decades I have worked and lived in Chicago has seen such an amazing range of experiences.
I have had the opportunity to work with and learn from world class photographers, celebrated book, fiber and paper artists. I have worked and taught at a wide range of companies and educational institution from an internationally known photo studio, a modeling agency, a catalog firm, a documentary film company, a college, a public school system and a high school. Oh, the things I have learned. I am for sure blessed.
